In the changing environment people tend to change, but Mr. David Paulson is not amongst them. Mr. Paulson is a stamp collector and always collects the first day covers and with the stamp he added a hobby of getting his stamp collection autographed from the people who are associated or related to those particular stamps
On all of his stamp collections he added the first day issue of the Great Escape Artist, Late. Harry Houdini (The Magician) on 3rd July 2002. To tribute the legend Escape Artist, Mr. Paulson decided to get Master. Houdini’s postal stamp autographed with a magician who stands tall to his magic tricks and is worthy to sign the postal stamp of Houdini.
To find someone capable, Paulson started travelling and attending magic shows in Theatres, Casinos, Banquets, Trade shows and even at the birthday parties. Year passed, Paulson was not able to find any better magician who is capable enough to sign Harry Houdini stamp. He wanted someone who knows the value of magic, who deliver it well, who is disguise of Harry Houdini and can deliver magic tricks well, but couldn’t found anyone not even close enough.
On his journey, 8 years later, at Carnival Cruise, Mr. Paulson saw a magician that charmed everyone with his unique trick, where people were enjoying the show, and that guy was Magician Sameer Dnyaneshwar.
Mr. Paulson decided to monitor the work of Magician Sameer; about how he delivers the magic to people and let them enjoy the trick and also to see, whether he is capable enough to autograph Mr. Harry Houdini stamp. Watching magic throughout the week, Mr. Paulson was so impressed and he said,“I’m not only impressed by Sameer’s stage appearance & expertise but also his behaviour & positive attitude off stage.”
After seeing all his performance, Mr. Paulson approached to Sameer and said,“I’m observing you from first day at the cruise. I saw yours engaging performance in dining room, kids club and in main show lounge. I’m impressed by your expertise and down to earth attitude. I want you to give me an autograph on a first day cover of postal stamp of the great escape artist Harry Houdini.”
Mr. Paulson was on vacation, so he wasn’t carrying the stamp with him, so when he returned home he posted the stamp to Magician Sameer on his address so that his stamp collection gets the worthy owners autograph over it.
It was a pleasure for Sameer to sign an autograph for Mr. Paulson on the stamp of the legendary Harry Houdini. This is destiny, where Mr. Paulson finds an Indian magician, where Sameer represented India the place where magic took birth.
